Our
investigations of SE Studios all began in August
of 2011, though there had been evidence of paranormal
activity before that. Once night while Shirl Spencer
and I were at the studio doing some work, we heard
the front door slam! Omg, it was fricken crazy!
It startled both of us and I ran to the door,
but no one was there and both of the security
locks were bolted shut. This prompted an immediate
investigation of the premises and we were blown
away by what we found..... What we found would
revolutionize the paranormal sciences forever!
AUGUST
7th & 8th, 2011
The
first night of our investigation, we slept out
in the live room of the studio. It was kind of
like camping, but the ghosties made it interesting
by throwing in their antics and such! We were
pretty much unaware at this point, of the magnitude
of spiritual activity that there was at the studio.
Being that SE Studios is a fully-functional recording
studio that has clients coming in and out everyday,
it isn't exactly conducive to business, having
a ghost hunting session in the middle of the day,
plus things are always way creepier at night than
in the daytime.
THE
GUITAR STRUM: The first night that we did
our investigation, we setup a static night-vision
camera pointed towards the bed that we were sleeping
on. We didn't hear it at the time, but we later
heard this EVP on the recording. It is guitarist
James Rosas' guitar. We knew that because we went
around the entire studio and played every single
one until we found the one that was in that tuning
and it was the only one. What was
strange was that the guitar was located in another
room in the building, but it sounds like it is right
next to the camera. That
wasn't the only time that we would hear that specific
guitar strum. It happened several times throughout
our investigation.
THE
CHILD'S COUGH: In addition to the
guitar strum EVP, we also caught what appears
to be a child coughing. Once again, at the
time we heard nothing, but we did feel a
presence of some sort. It happens at 0:03
into the video. That night was very powerful
in our time together, almost spiritual.
Our psychic premonitions, if we even have
any would say that there were definitely
children there with us at the time. There
were multiple deaths in the family in recent
years and some of them were children, so
we were wondering if maybe there was a connection.
OUR
FINDINGS:
The evidence from our first look at SE Studios pointed
to the fact that there possibly could be paranormal
activity going on there. The entire area of Grass
Valley and Nevada City has a rich history of spirits
and ghost tales from the Holbrooke Hotel to the
Stone House and many places that are even uncharted.
We could tell a lot from personal stories, but there
is nothing like going to the library and looking
up some information on the location and people in
the area that might fit the description of our ghosts.
As silly as that may sound, that was indeed our
goal.... We had to get to the bottom of what was
buried under the concrete.
Our
investigation picked back up again on August 27th
and lasted until August 31st, 2011. It didn't
seem like we had missed a beat, because we had
been staying at the studio at night, to oversee
the operations and in that time, we had so many
personal experiences and crazy things that happened
to us while we were there! Some of which were
caught on videotape and others on the digital
recorders and some on vector scope, so we will
share those as well.
AUGUST
27th thru 31st, 2011
We
knew going into this phase of the investigation,
that it was going to be a week-long event and there
wouldn't be a chance to really even stop and review
and of the evidence. Shirl and I were committed
to do it, so we set up all of the equipment and
systematically worked the ghost over, until we got
the information that we wanted out of them. Remember
that spirits often lie, so information can be sketchy
if you don't know the right questions to ask. Fortunately,
Shirl and I knew exactly what to ask those pesky
ghosts.
MAKE
ME DO IT!: One night, early on in our
investigation, we setup a plastic ball in the
center of the room and asked and then commanded
the spirits to move the ball and at 0:43 there
is the sound of the guitar strum and in the sound
of the strum, you can hear a voice say, "Why
don't you make me?". We were really surprised
to find this evidence, long after we originally
recorded it. The guitar belonging to James Rosas
seemed to be the only one used for this, but there
was another guitar in the studio and it was an
Ibanez that belonged to Mark Wyatt, the guitarist
from StrangeEye band that killed himself. We were
wondering if maybe Mark's spirit is hanging around
the studio, which is now a portal.
THE
GHOSTIES ROCK: It has often been believed
that various spirits act as a muse, to inspire one
to write music or create art of some form. We believe
there to be muse spirits at SE Studios and various
other spirits, entities, energies and other life
forms. In our investigations, we focused on specific
things about who these beings might be and why they
might be there, but we never imagined that we would
catch the things we did on our other taping of jams
and band rehearsals, like this one where at the
end of the video, a voice says, Does somebody need
a ghost?" and we never caught that the first
time we watched the clip.
I
have often times heard of people having "visions"
and though I understood the concept of having
a vision, I myself had never had an actual vision
at this point in my life. But one night, while
Shirl and I were doing our investigations in the
main room of the studio, also known as the "live
room" and as we were laying there on the
mattress that we had put down, I began to see
things in my mind, like pictures only it was different...
It seemed that they had meaning and purpose somehow.
I
remember seeing a round room with seven (7) escape
pods and an hourglass on the middle of a stone
table. In my vision, I saw that the hourglass
had been broken and pieces of glass were all over
the table, as were white crystals from inside
of the hourglass. In my vision, I could see another
room that was covered by a glass dome and Shirl's
children Jesse, Christian and Jeremy we all behind
the glass and though they were talking, we couldn't
hear a word. There was someone else there with
them. A little girl with blonde curly hair, wearing
a white dress with pink flowers and little blue
birds and she was holding a teddy bear in her
left hand.
I
told Shirl that we needed to break the glass bubble
and to get the acoustic guitar and begin to worship
God, so she did just that and as she began to
worship, I saw the glass begin to crack and a
moment later, there was nothing left but broken
glass on the ground and her kids were gone, but
the little girl was still there. I narrated my
vision to Shirl as it was happening, so she knew
exactly what was happening. After that, the vision
ended and I came back to reality.
After
my vision was over, I laid there with Shirl and
went into great detail about what I had seen and
described the room in greater detail. In my vision,
it seemed that there were only seven escape pods
and they were all gone and whoever was left in
that room had been left behind after waiting a
great deal of time and they were so furious when
they saw that the escape pods were gone, that
they broke the hourglass that was on the table
and the pieces of glass and crystalline sands
were spread across the table.
As
I recounted my vision piece by piece, I looked
to my left and on the stairs, I could see the
same little girl sitting there about half way
up. It wasn't a mist or apparition, but more of
a seeing into the spirit. I described the little
girl to Shirl in great detail, down to every little
thing that you could imagine.
Eventually,
I wrote about the room from my vision, with the
escape pods in a song from my Nowhere CD entitled
"The

GHOST
HUNTING PORCH MONKEY STYLE: While
sitting on the front porch of SE Studios,
we were both attacked by some spirit entity
and both of us immediately started praying
for one another. In the summer time it
is common to sit out in front of the studio
in the evening and enjoy an ice cold beverage,
but that night the only thing getting
served up were cans of Whoop Ass!!! We
are on the hunt for a ghostie and after
kicking a crap load of them out of the
studio, we figured it was time to catch
them in their natural environment, which
is NOT IN THE STUDIO WREAKING
HAVOC! Although that does have
it's benefits to ghost hunters wanting
to come to SE Studios, but trust me...
if we wanted to, we could fill this place
with ghosts in about 2-seconds! They are
waiting outside, DYING
to come in.. literally! You have no idea
what we have going on here in Grass Valley.
Even the most avid ghost hunting teams
make their way to the Gold Country to
check out SE Studios and you should as
well!
DRUNK
PILOTS & 3-SHADOWS: Part of
our investigation led us outside the studio,
to poke around the area a little bit and
see what we uncover and one night while
we were out investigating, a drunk pilot
came sputtering in and almost crashed at
the Nevada County Airpark. Shirl and I couldn't
believe it, but what was more spooky...
On the way back from seeing if the pilot
was going to crash, we caught 3-shadows
of us, when there should have only been
2! It was really freaky until we figured
it all out and no, it wasn't the cameraman,
because we were filming alone that night.
GHOST
GIRL: I was really surprised several
days later when our friends who had been camping
in the desert, took this pic on their cell phone
and sent it to us. To see the exact same girl
that I had seen before in my vision, was just
mind blowing to me! I knew that my vision was
real and that I was truly seeing into the spirit
for the first time in my life and that was exciting
for me! A name came to me later and that was Elizabeth
Werner. I believe that to be her actual name,
but my research hasn't led me to her yet, but
I know that in time I will find that little ghost
girl and I will finally know who she is and what
she is doing at SE Studios. One thing I do is
that she is a victim of a tragedy involving a
man named John Harper.
OUR
FINDINGS: The evidence from our
second look at SE Studios pointed to the fact that
there was definitely paranormal activity going on
and on a grander scale than we had originally anticipated.
The EVP's that were able to retrieve after a week-long
investigation, proved to by more overwhelming that
we that could have ever imagined! We were finding
that as we pinpointed specific questions in our
EVP sessions, that we got specific answers and though
when we first started our investigation, we really
didn't know exactly how to list to these EVP's and
what to look for. That all changed as we turned
the mics up all the way in the recording and then
turned our voices way down during playback, to allow
that overall volume to be louder and by doing that,
we were able to unlock several mysteries about EVP's
in general.
Our
next investigation started on September 9th and
lasted until September 10th, 2011 and focused more
on getting specific information out of the ghosties.
We were working on getting information like their
names and how many of them there were in the studio
at the time. Not to be overly metaphysically dramatic,
but it would appear that SE Studios was actually
some kind of portal or gateway to another dimension.
Our research thus far had helped us develop new
technologies related to making contact with the
astral plane.
SEPTEMBER
9th & 10th, 2011
By
now, we were well accustomed to hearing the ghosties
as anytime of the day or night and doing just about
everything imaginable, from speaking on the microphone
while people were recording, to even strumming the
guitar while we went about our daily business. Though
poltergeist activity was not present, still the
spirits on the astral plane pleaded their case for
help and to help us with SE Studios, to help it
grow and get the word out to the people who could
use it the most. Who had ever thought of using a
team of talented ghosts to market a recording studio's
services? In time, things would grow for SE Studios
and business would begin to flood the studio as
the same spirits that once hassled the team out
of shear boredom, were put to work, speaking the
words "SE Studios" into the ears of those
needing our services, but not knowing we even existed.
Now feeling the fulfillment from completing a project
and helping people in this physical realm, we began
to implore these same spirits, to work at SE Studios,
to make it like a Ghost Theme Park, the first of
it's kind ever! Though things did not operate smoothly
at first, eventually the willing spirits followed
suit and did what we asked them to. They now work
for us at SE Studios!
BURNING
WOOD: One night while we were undergoing
phosphorus reflection tests, using an old tv set
laying on the floor, we began to smell burning wood.
It so was so distinct and so pinpointed and obviously
an attack on Shirl, knowing about the fire in the
past. We searched the entire studio, inside and
out and there was no smoke and no fire, just the
smell of a major blaze. Shirl was a little freaked
out, but she is a strong person and a great ghost
hunter, so it was no problem...
PHOSPHORUS
TESTS : We have often heard of people being
able to catch a spirit's reflection in a surface
covered in phosphorus. While we were undergoing
our final phosphorus reflection tests, we caught
some rather fun times at SE Studios and that is
what you want to hear, "not that you were scared
shitless and will NEVER come back!".
Our
tests yielded results beyond our wildest dreams,
but we can only show you the following video as
we do not want to spoil future episodes of the SE
Spirit Chasers TV show.
OUR
FINDINGS: The evidence from our
third investigation proved that not only had we
made contact with spirits on the astral plane, but
that someone the equipment in the studio was acting
like a giant spirit radio antenna. We started researching
more about "spirit radio" and we astonished
to see that Tesla himself had designed a crystal
radio in a mason jar, that would allow you to more
easily capture the voices of disembodied spirits.
After building our own spirit antenna, we decided
to do the same thing, only larger and remotely located
outside of the shielding of the metal building.
It didn't take long to gather parts and build what
would be the first of it's kind, SE Spirit Radio
Antenna Array. Using the same concept from Tesla's
experiment, we were able to reach even farther into
the astral plane, now bringing perfect spirit reception
to the entire SE building. Before SE moved to the
current location, it was a generator and magneto
repair facility and there were a lot of electrical
signals being generated from that location, almost
like a lighthouse for spirits. We believe that is
how the building itself came to have paranormal
activity.
NOTE:
We found it necessary to take a break from ghost
hunting for one month. It was very difficult to
not go down and do EVP's or interrogate the ghosties,
but we avoided the entire month of October, including
the all famous Hallow's Eve (Halloween). We are
really glad that we took a break, because it allowed
us to gain clarity over the things that were happening
at SE Studios.
Our
next investigation was a two day investigation on
November 14th & 15th, that included Alby running
the camera and helping us chase ghosties and that
is always a lot of fun! We were using our new software
to decode important messages, that would help unravel
a mystery that included some kind of demonic activity.
NOVEMBER
14th & 15th, 2011
There
was much ado about SE at this point and it felt
good to finally be breaking through some of the
barriers involved in communicating with spirits
and beings from dimensions unknown. There are also
a lot of dangers involved in this whole thing too,
as far as people bringing in spirits and people
leaving with spirits. We had kicked a good majority
of the bad spirits out, because they were annoying
and had been actually scratching and bruising us.
I was surprised that spirits could manifest like
that, but I am living proof! We knew we were dealing
with several spirits, but the most energetic of
the bunch was a spirit named "Larry".
We are sure that we will find out what his story
is, with a little deeper investigation of SE Studios.
BASS
KNOCKED OVER: This was an interesting night,
as it was the first night that Alby went hunting
with us! He ran the camera as we ran a thorough
investigation of SE Studios. During the investigation,
I ask the ghosts if they wanted to play the bass
while I play the keyboard. Boy did we find out!
Just when we least expected it, one of the ghosties
knocked Brant's bass over! We were totally blown
away. There was no doubt that something was there,
but the actual manifestation of knocking something
over was pretty impressive to me.
THE
LEGEND OF THE SCARY STAIRS: Though it
is of course a "made up" legend by Robbi
Spencer, it is believed that since the construction
at SE Studios, the ghostly activity has been at
an all time high! There seems to be something
or someone who sits at about the middle of the
stairs and does not like people walking by. It
is a well-known fact amongst ghost enthusiasts,
that any type of building, construction or remodeling
seems to anger the inhabitants and any dwelling
space, at least spirits that may be there.
OUR
FINDINGS: The evidence from our
forth investigation led us to believe that paranormal
activity was not only present at SE Studios, but
"on tap" so to speak. I know that sounds
like a scary thing, but it's not. So far, other
than being bruised and scratched, we have not been
affected by the spirits that reside at SE Studios.
In a way it is kind of a blessing being able to
communicate with people that you would never normally
talk to.
Imagine
if you will, being able to actually speak to your
Uncle Willy using the SE Spirit Radio™. I'm
not going to promise you that is going to happen,
but you will never know until you actually come
to SE Studios for yourself and sit in the Master
Control Room and broadcast on the Spirit Radio and

on our frequency or if someone knows him or where
he is at.
